Greg Baer is the Director of Airports for Buchanan Field and Byron Airport in Contra Costa County. Greg has over 23 years of public works experience, including the last nine in airport management. Prior to his current position, Greg was the Airport Manager at Napa County Airport. Previously, he worked for the City of American Canyon, Public Works Department as well as United Airlines.
Greg earned his bachelor’s degree in Aviation from San Jose State and went on to receive his master’s degree in Public Administration from Sonoma State University. In 2018, he received the Herman C. Bliss Partnership Award from the FAA Western Pacific Region. Greg is also a private pilot, instrument student, and A&P mechanic.
